KOHO selects LoanPro to support its next Canadian lending and credit products

Development analysis

What changed, why it matters, and what leaders should watch.

What changed

KOHO and LoanPro announced a partnership on October 14 under which LoanPro's API-first platform will support billing, servicing and reporting for new KOHO products. KOHO will retain product design and the member experience in its app; the companies said the platform is intended to let KOHO launch and scale products for Canadian requirements, including provincial rules.

Loyalty and rewards implications

The integration gives KOHO a more configurable foundation to connect borrowing, payment and credit-building experiences to the spending and savings relationship it already owns. Banks and credit unions should expect fintechs to use modular lending infrastructure to test faster, more personalized engagement propositions, so their own rewards and relationship offers need to work across products rather than remain card-only.
